OK, so why have I never made this before?
To say I like hummus is an understatement, but I've always gone for the organic shop bought versions, which I have to admit are pretty tasty. But this homemade version is so yummy, so quick and so easy to make, I can't believe it's taken me until now to make it.
Now I feel like I've got the basics I'm looking forward to experimenting with different flavours – I'll let you know how I get on. But for now here is my recipe:
3 garlic cloves
75mls lemon juice (juice of approx 1.5 lemons)
2 tablespoon light tahini
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until smooth. Enjoy.
*Store in the fridge in an air tight container and it should last 4-5 days*
